Tuesdays: The Stressful Day

Alas! After a long tiresome day, I get to sit on the PC (already half-dozing). Well this is what happens every Tuesday night (or Wednesday early morning sometimes to be precise). People doing Bsc. Banking and Finance & Bsc. Economics & Mgmt would have already got a clue to what I'm talking about. Well, today was the worst and the most hectic Tuesday.

Many of my close friends know that I'm a person who despises laziness. They also know that I'm a light sleeper. But I realized how tiring a day can be with lack of sleep. This is what happened today:

As I'm not living with my parents (as they are in Oman), I get to do most of the household chores that many guys in today's world hate. By this I mean that I get to clean my room, iron my clothes, do my own shopping etc. In fact two of my friends have termed me "neatest-bachelor" (those who see my room will realize this fact). As the great Tuesday started (12am), I realized that I had to iron some clothes for the week. Like the usual active me, without any hesitation, I quickly finished whatever I was doing and started ironing at around 1am or 1:30am (can't recollect). After an hour of ironing (approx. 2:30am), I realized about the busy schedule I had and immediately jumped to bed.

I was now in wonderland (dreaming). I was happily driving on Sheikh Zayed Road enjoying the music that was being played on the FM. But it all changed when the Police began to chase me for over-speeding. Not able to withstand the hubbub I woke up with terror to only realize that the alarm was ringing (what I heard as the siren was in fact my alarm). I turned off the alarm (7:30am) and started getting ready to go to college. [NB: I've only slept for 5 hours].

I reached college at 9am and at 9:30am went for the auditing class. All went well till 1:30pm when I had my next class (B&F) which was a compensation class for the earlier cancelled one (this extra class added to my tiredness) when I began to feel drowsy and weak (remember : only 5 hours of sleep). The class was one non-stop boring lecture that made me restless. At 3pm the teacher gave us a 10mins but I decided not to attend the second half of the class. I happily walked out and left for home (3:30pm) and reached at 3:55pm (Al Karama).

I quickly freshened up and at 4:30pm I left home and picked up my best friend (who also lives in Al Karama). We both went to Jabal Arafah (the "so called bar") had some snacks and off we drove to Etisalat (as I had to give some documents). We finished the work at Etisalat at around 5:10pm and went to Satwa to pick up another friend and then drove off to college.

By then I was half dead (remember only 5 hours of sleep + a hectic morning/afternoon). We reached college at around 6:30pm. One of my friends went to the library to do his HW and the other went for his auditing class and I (half-dead) went for THE GREAT MACRO class. After another long dry (not so boring) class (which ended at 10pm) I was 98% dead. I told my best friend to drive this time as I feared that I might sleep. Finally at 10:30 we were at Karama and (after dropping our friend at Satwa). Another 15 mins went for parking.

Finally HOME!!! damn what a tiring day. Well right now I'm typing this blog after having some strong coffee but I need to sleep. I hope my macro class will shift to the morning. *sigh*
